Phase difference between adjacent coils is 150 degrees (0r 30 if reversed). Coils are connected in pairs and then connected in series with the pair opposite.

Hi Hugh! Interesting project!!! Neos are too expensive for me and are not very reliable with moisture. I can’t follow the wiring for this stator. Are the “coil pairs” wound in opposite direction? Can further explain?
Thanks!!
Diego (from Argentina)
hi Diego,
Yes we wound each pair of coils without cutting the wire. Then we turned one coil over. So that the wires that lie next to each other go in the same direction. One coil is on a north pole when the other is on a south pole. Actually they are not exactly in phase with each other but it’s only a 30 degree phase difference.
It took a while to figure it out but it works well.
cheers
Hugh
